This website has been designated as a photo album for named cast steel steps used on horse drawn vehicles and 'horseless carriages'. There are a few with unique design's or logos on them. Steps without names on them are almost too numerous to illustrate. Horse drawn vehicle production ceased around 1925, thus the end of buggy steps.
The tabs at the top of this page are divided by what type of vehicle the steps were used on to the best of my ability. To view the photos please choose one of the tabs. If you have a step that is not shown I would appreciate a photo of it. Please fill out the 'Contact Form' located below, then touch 'submit', "Thank You".
The term 'buggy step' is a general term. Besides buggies the steps illustrated on the following pages were also used on carriages - buckboards, surreys, carts, sleighs, wagons - drays and even cars and trucks (horseless carriages). See vehicle definitions below.*
I'm continuously looking for new locations to exhibit my step display. If you know a location that I might be welcome to attend in Minnesota, NE Iowa, Northern Illinois or Wisconsin please fill out the (Contact form) below, thank you!
Each display section is 4 feet wide, just about 4 feet tall.
Please complete the Contact Form for sending any suggestions to this website and for sharing any photos of your step(s).
